About Me
My name is Brett Fischer. I have a Doctorate – in Physical Therapy. Which means I studied the musculoskeletal injury process up and down for three straight years – much more than any other profession. I have teamed up with a vast array of athletes from mixed martial artists to gymnasts and baseball players to soccer players. Most of my caseload over the last few years has involved rehabilitating patients recovering from ACL or meniscus surgery, labral repair of the shoulder and hip, rotator cuff repair, muscle strains, and general knee, shoulder, and back pain. I’ve also seen a fair amount of patients from other clinics on a “second look” basis on request from physicians. My main interest is embracing the challenge of working with throwing athletes, spanning from prevention to rehabilitation to maintenance programs for any injury. I love a good challenge and really enjoy helping patients meet their goals, no matter how crazy they might seem to others. I believe in working with other professionals that are interested in being part of a team and coming together to help a patient achieve their goals as efficiently as possible.

Educational and Professional Background
I attained my DPT degree from The University of South Dakota in 2010. Just prior to that I attained my Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from South Dakota State University, where I also played two years of baseball. I grew up in Brandon, South Dakota and attended high school there as well. On a side note, I travelled to China and worked with the Chinese Olympic race walking team in the summer of 2015 as part of a project to raise awareness of the physical therapy profession across the world.
